Declarations of Professional and Pecuniary Interests from Fellows of College on Committees in 2009/10
The Australasian College of Dermatologists
The Australasian College of Dermatologists is the medical college responsible for the training and professional development of medical practitioners in the specialty of dermatology.
Dermatologists are qualified medical specialists who, through additional training, have obtained postgraduate qualifications to specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin, nail and hair diseases and skin cancers.
Medical practitioners who have successfully completed the training program of the Australasian College of Dermatologists are known as Fellows of the College (FACD). Fellows of the College are recognised by Medicare Australia and State Medical Boards as specialists in dermatology.
On this website you will find basic information about various skin diseases and problems. For more detailed information, you should seek advice from your general practitioner. You will also find contact details of individual dermatologists in your state and city. Don’t forget you need a referral from your GP to see a dermatologist.
The College’s strategic plan and our media releases are also available in the Public Area.
For medical practitioners, the site has information about the College’s training program and the selection and assessment processes; grants and fellowships; procedures for overseas trained dermatologists; and dermatology brochures available for purchase.
For Fellows of College, the Members Area contains information about various College activities. This is a restricted area.
We hope this website will be of assistance to you in obtaining information about the College and dermatology. We welcome your feedback. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require assistance.
